Aachen [Germany] 7 A.M. I have 700 francs left. Problem: to reach Berlin at 6.10 to-night. Went into second class—as did the Cynocephalus I had seen at the Gare du Nord.
[There here follows two small pen sketches of an anthropoidal type of woman, beside which is written:] This is too big: she is a mean type. See my big drawing. Anna—wife of N[ew] Y[ork] lawyer.
