A portion of the pages of this enlarged brochure are original articles delivered by Dr. E. J. Stevens before the meeting of the Sunday Evening Psychology Club held January 7th, 1924, at the spacious Assembly Hall of the Chicago Woman’s City Club.

A motion was made by Frederick Irving, Musical Director of the Chicago Sunday Evening Psychology Club (well known as former leading bass-baritone with Madame Schumann-Heink) and seconded by Col. C. Emmit Smith, of Spanish-American War fame—that the full evening lessons, lecture, and musical program be published by Dr. Stevens in plain pamphlet form and that this colorful and wonderful two hours’ message would be to club members, simple—$1.00 per pamphlet. The worthy chairman, A. O. Kraemer, presented the motion which was carried unanimously by the hundreds present.
