Sir,—This morning I received a letter from a firm of printers apologizing for delay, and saying: “We are running half-time so as to keep all our hands going.”
I have replied: “Would it not be better to work full time, if necessary overtime, but to employ only those men who are not eligible for military service?”
If this suggestion be universally adopted, both the military problem and the unemployment problem will be settled,
