“The Equinox: the Official Organ of the A. A.,” [The Equinox (Volume I, No. 3)] to which I lately referred in my notes on “psychic” literature, has been the occasion of a curious action. A Mr. Macgregor [MacGregor Mathers], who claims to be the chief of the Rosicrucian Order, obtained an interim injunction restraining Mr. Aleister Crowley, the editor of “The Equinox,” from publishing “the secret forms, ritual, or transactions of a certain Order known as the Rosicrucian.” Now Mr. Crowley has successfully appealed, and presumably the matter in dispute will be published in “The Equinox.” The magazine itself is an amazing production, but apparently written in good faith. I hope to return to it again.
